About us

Matt is a Managing Partner at Acteon and leads our technical team and digital development.

Matt is a professional communicator with a particular strength in the use of technology for internal communication. Matt offers consultancy on how organisations can best achieve their business objectives through the deployment of technical solutions. He has worked extensively on global solutions for the dissemination of training and information for many of our blue chip clients.

Matt has won a number of awards for his communication work, including the Thomas Jefferson Award for an internal communication web portal he designed for the US Air Force. Matt is also the key driver behind Acteon's award-winning change communications programme, helping companies align training with overall business strategy, and ensuring maximum uptake and commitment from staff. He has helped our clients Priory Group and Care Management Group each win industry awards for securing widespread adoption of e-learning.

Outside of work Matt enjoys time with his local church, serves as a school governor, and loves spending time with his family. Matt also tries to get in a quick trip around a golf course every now and again.

Youri heads up research and development of our web products and services, and is an Acteon Partner.

Youri has been the principal architect of our Learning Management technology for over two decades. He leads R&D and offers strategic guidance and implementation support to our customers. With a keen interest in innovation and digital services, Youri continually explores new technologies to enhance Breeio's capabilities and performance.

With extensive experience in developing robust, large-scale database software and a deep mastering of web technologies - from the early days of the Internet to modern web and mobile frameworks, cloud computing, and AI-driven applications - Youri's hands-on approach aims to leverage technology to rapidly realise business objectives.

Youri first came to Cambridge to study Astrophysics, involving high performance computing and numerical analysis. After his PhD, he transitioned to the entrepreneurial world, eager to create real-world software applications in a service-oriented environment. Prior to joining Acteon, he gained experience in early AI and machine learning techniques and was also instrumental in developing pioneering LayerActive technology to enhance user interfaces of browser-based content management and business applications.

Karen works with our Breeio clients, building strong, collaborative relationships so they continue to get the best of Breeio.

Karen joined Acteon in 2022 to work as our Digital Learning Consultant for our Breeio product. Karen's extensive experience working in Learning and Development and client facing roles within the software industry which provides her with the ability to understand the complexities of our client's needs to influence the development direction of the product.

Karen manages our Breeio clients from taking them through a structured implementation process to the ongoing management of their account, building a strong relationship to work collaboratively so they continue to get the best of Breeio.

Outside of work Karen enjoys trips to the theatre, running around the local countryside and watching a good boxset!

David heads up our support team and manages some of the larger LMS accounts.

David joined Acteon in 2010 as a member of the client support team. Since then he has developed and runs the support team alongside managing some of the larger LMS accounts.

His background was in mobile network and communications, and he was one of the people responsible for the world's first 4G mobile call and network. His hobbies include anything automotive, DIY and gardening. David is also a keen cyclist.

David heads up our development team, working on Breeio and on bespoke digital solutions for clients.

David joined Acteon in 2015 as a developer in the Digital team, working on Acteon's Learning Management System, Breeio, following a background in web-based development going back to the early 2000s.

A full-stack developer and development lead, his time is split between getting hands-on with complex database and application requirements, managing the scheduling and implementation of the development roadmap for Breeio, as well as other internal websites, such as this one! He also works closely with Acteon's consultant and studio teams on bespoke digital solutions for our clients. He is a staunch pragmatist, with a strong eye for detail and a tenacious appetite for understanding and explaining complex workflows when providing 3rd line support for our clients.

He is a strong believer in stepping away from the computer screen and tries his best to walk 5K every lunchtime, enjoying the architecture of Cambridge when he's in the office, to the river and open countryside when working from home. You'll often find him pointing his camera at the moon, running, or going on long walks in the great outdoors.

Sarah works across teams at Acteon, leading our marketing and communications.

Sarah is Acteon's Head of Marketing, passionate about digging deeper into how Acteon can help our clients make a meaningful difference in their work.

She believes that the best marketing doesn't feel like marketing, because it's all about enabling people to achieve what they need.

Sarah has a background working across communications, publishing and education, including as a Marketing Manager at Pearson, and a Communications Manager at the University of Cambridge. She also ran her own successful businesses for ten years, before realising she was missing having colleagues. Happily she found the Acteon family.

Outside work, Sarah is an athletics coach and marathon runner, and can usually be found scurrying around somewhere in the countryside come rain or shine.
